Fitting Philosophy

EasyFit Lifestyle Contact Lenses are supported by the conjunctiva and the fluid reservoir under the lens, not by the cornea. These lenses are empirically and digitally designed to vault the entire corneal surface including the limbal area. While the clearance over the cornea can vary slightly from center to periphery, the lens are made to order to optimize oxygen transmission to the tissue. All EasyFit Lifestyle Contacts are made in premium High DK materials. Optimum results in fit and corneal health are achieved with a clearance of 150 to 175 microns (4+hours of wear) at the highest point of elevation with adequate limbal clearance and good alignment with the conjunctiva. EasyFit Lifestyle Lenses are manufactured empirically from the data submitted.

Diameter

Standard EasyFit Lifestyle Contacts are made in 15.0 diameter. The horizontal visible iris diameter (HVID) is the main factor to consider in determining a change to the standard lens diameter. The standard size will cover >90% of the cases. For patients outside of these parameters, up to a .5mm diameter smaller (14.5mm) or up to a .5mm larger (15.5mm) will be manufactured for fit optimization. For accurate EasyFit manufacturing, the design protocol requires an accurate HVID measurement at time of order.
