Empirical Ordering Fitting Guide 1-2-3

Empirical fitting is a time saver for everyone! Get your data in right the first time! Please be sure to follow these important suggestions.

Accurate Ks

K-values are most accurate when captured at the visual axis in a 3-4mm diameter. Suggested equipment:

Manual Keratometer
Nidek or Zeiss AutoRefractors or
Nidek Wavefront OPDIII
Atlas Humphries numerical map 3-4mm @ visual axis
Topcon AutoRefractor
Oculus
Scout AutoRefractor
We do not recommend using axial maps from topographers for empirical data

Corneal Diameter

A HVID measurement is important to making the EasyFit Custom Lens accurately. Today’s newer equipment offers corneal and pupil measurement features.

Use HVID Ruler
Make note of smaller than average or larger than average corneas
Measure Pupil size in normal illumination if ordering multifocal designs
Make note of eye dominance

Spectacle RX
